How does the rental process work?
We require a government issued id for rental and if you are storing a vehicle we require the matching registration papers. The rental process runs from the day of rental to the same day of the next month. Ex. January 8th,11 to February 8th, 11
Do I need my own lock?
You are required to supply your own lock, we recommend a disk lock but we sell a variety of locks in our office.
How much is the rental deposit?
The rental deposit ranges from $20.00-$30.00 based on the size of the unit and is refundable within 7-10 business days of your vacate.
Do you have heated storage?
We do not have heated or climate controlled storage, however our facility is dry and condensation free.
Do you provide insurance for our belongings?
Insurance is your responsibility- contact your insurance agent to cover your stored treasures.
Do you provide moving trucks?
Abbotsford location does not have any moving vehicles however ask your customer service rep when renting and then can suggest a moving and rental company that is reputable and close by.
Salmon Arm location has a moving trailer that can be borrowed within business hours ask your customer service rep for more details.
What hours is your office open?
Abbotsford
Monday to Friday 8 am to 8 pm
Saturday to Sundays 9 am to 5 pm
What hours can I access my unit?
You can access your unit the same hours that the office is open, outside of those hours we are a locked facility.
Storage Tips
- Plan your storage space. Place items you access often in front of your unit.
- Make an inventory of your stored items and keep it in a safe place.
- CAUTION! Do not store combustibles such as gasoline, paint, thinner etc.
- Use uniformly sized boxes, strong enough to hold 25-30 lbs.
- Sofas and loveseats can be stored on end to maximize space.
- Cover all stuffed furniture and mattresses with plastic to protect against dust.
- Do not store perishables (food etc)
- Surfaces of antiques and other wood furniture should be treated before storing.
- Come in and check your unit from time to time.
